Bio Box :
Carter was the lifeblood of the Breckenridge community during his courageous battle with cancer. He single-handedly transformed our sporting culture by motivating his peers with his relentless positivity and presence at games. Carter was honored by all three-major sports teams in Minnesota and many teams around the country dedicated their seasons to him in 2017. His famous quote reminds us all to be thankful and humble, as Carter consistently taught us. Although his physical body is gone, his energy continues to send positive waves crashing into the fabric of our community.

Never take life for granted.. you might wake up one morning and have to fight for all you got.□ #realtalk

Bio Box :
Coach Ohm worked to get Breckenridge into the nationally renowned Hoop City Classic, where the Cowboys competed at the Sanford Pentagon and the Mitchell Corn Palace. Arly put together the first ever Cowboy Basketball Alumni Event, bringing in former athletes from across the country, including 94 year old Merle McMorrow from the 1940 State Championship squad. Arly was instrumental in helping promote "Carter Casey Night" for two consecutive seasons, making sure our legendary and late brother was a huge part of our Section 8AA Championship title run. His work with our youth stretches back to"FUNdamental League," nearly two decades ago, where he hosted free clinics teaching basketball basics to young athletes. He wrote countless colleges, who in return sent memorabilia that Arly gifted to children at these wonderful events. Arly's outdoor basketball court at his home has become a safe haven for area youth. Even after nightfall, you'll find a rack of basketballs waiting to be dribbled.

Bio Box:
Who was Noah Christensen? He was the Cowboy opponents hated to play against and teammates loved to play with, a vocal leader who nobody could guard. More striking than his skill was the innate leadership and toughness he brought to the court. Christensen recorded 36 pts, 15 reb, and 6 blk in the section semifinals with an injured elbow on his shooting arm, before helping his team to consecutive Section 8AA Championships two days later.

Christensen is a combo player, attacking off the dribble, firing from three, and providing a nightly double-double threat from the post. You will also notice his selfless outlet passes downcourt and relentless will to win. The big man has ball skills that put the quickest of guards on skates. Confidence is king on the hardwood and Christensen provides that in surplus. Noah emerged as not only a willing, but skilled passer in the Cowboys’ offense. Unselfish as they come, Christensen played through bumps and bruises to set the barometer on toughness for his team. The senior worked tirelessly to transform his body and overall game.

Breckenridge’s all-time leading scorer is more than statistics — he’s a symbol of hope for aspiring youth athletes, an example of what it means to be a great teammate. Noah excels at the unteachables — the desire to make his teammates better and the will to win.

Jensen went out for football his senior year and immediately become the Cowboys' top receiving threat, as well as a weapon on special teams and in the defensive secondary. "To our youth, Stevin is the Michael Jordan of Breckenridge," coach Arly Ohm said.

Stevin began his career as an eighth-grader, tearing up local open gyms against seasoned veterans. He worked tireless to reach his goals and hit the pinnacle with humble class. Widely regarded as Breckenridge's greatest playmaker, the rest of the game often stood still when the ball was in Stevin's hands. His 20-dunks during the 2017 basketball season more than double any other player in Cowboys' history. Stevin continued his basketball career at NDSCS, winning a region XII Championship with the Wildcats. He now coaches basketball for the Inspired Athletics program.
