Anthony Conzemius, jude held, and matt noll
• By Robert Wanek Jr.
The 2021 season is finally here and with it has come some great performances from Breckenridge athletes. A big start from both the boys and girls basketball teams left us with many choices, and a trio of Cowboy wrestlers made choosing the cut tough for our inaugural Athlete of the Week selections. Below we detail our standout selections.
Anthony Conzemius - Boys Basketball
Anthony provided the excitement in game one, with a rim-rocking dunk in a blowout win over Upsala. In game two, the 6'7" forward made a giant leap with 25 points and 14 rebounds against a highly-touted Pelican Rapids team. He's been a big presence for the 2-0 Cowboys, both physically and mentally.
Jude Held - Girls Basketball
Jude has been a driving force for the Cowgirls for the latter part of three seasons. She picked up right where she left in Breck's season opening overtime win over Crookson with a loaded stat line of 16 pts, 8 reb, 5 ast, 4 stl, and 2 blk.
Matt Noll - Wrestling
Matt is off to a great start to the season. He's 4-0 on the campaign, with his last victory helping Breckenridge earn it's first team win off the season in a tight battle with Wadena-Deer Creek.
